Buttons, switches, faders and blinking lights always get my attention, ever since the early years of being a little baby. Because of curiosity, I started learning live sound reinforcement in my church since 1993. The interest grows rapidly after taking the course “Computer Music” in HKUST, I further equip myself in HKAPA after graduation.

Working free-of-charge in Star East is my first job in audio industry. I worked there as sound engineer assistant, controlling a 32-channel sound panel, DMX light panel, venue lighting system and follow-spot. One day, the sound engineer brought back his own Mackie 1642-VLZ Pro and we played with live recording. This job brought tons of pressure to me, since we were working with upcoming singers and also big stars with big names. Professional musicians came and played and enjoyed the shows. We met producers and celebrities there. We worked really hard to attain professional quality of live sound, and I really treasure the things I learned and experienced in the golden age of my life.
